Day 12 - A letter to our study tour leader teachers, Miss Cheung and Miss Wong -- by Sally Fong Yuen Ki and Rita Wan Tsz Yan (3C)

Dear Miss Cheung and Miss Wong,

We are going back to Hong Kong today. We have stayed in Cairns, Australia for 13 days already. In this trip, we have learnt a lot of Austrlian Cultrure.

Our host family was very nice and friendly to us. Every night, our host mum, Jan prepared our dinner. We helped her sometimes. Jan and her husband, David, taught us about living in Australia and the background about their family here. We love them very much!

We studied at Cairns College of English and Cairns State High School. Our Australian class teachers, Luke and Josh, were very kind and funny. We learnt about Austrlian history, culture and animals from them. In Cairns State High School, we had an Australian buddy for each of us. Sally's buddy is Olivia and mine was Reawyn. We made a lot of friends there. The school is very big, so we needed to follow our buddies all the time, if not, we would get lost.

Guess what food we had every day? We ate sandwiches and sometimes we made pizzas for dinner too. We visited many places in Australia, for example, Green Island at the Great Barrier Reef, Cairns Museum, Cairns Central Library, Cairns Art Gallery, Cairns Tropical Zoo, Cairns Botanic Garden, Opal Factory, Rusty's Market..... But I love the Zoo very much! We saw dingoes, emus, lizards and we even fed kangaroos in the zoo too.

Thanks to our Australian class teacher, Luke!

We miss our host family and buddies but we need to say goodbye to them. Jan and David gave us some presents as farewell gifts, we love it very much!

We want to thank our school for this chance. Australia is a nice place!

Good bye! Australia!

Yours,
Sally and Rita
