A Letter to my friend in HK -- by Wong Chi Kwong, Joseph (5E)

Dear Wilson,

Hi there! The weather is cloudy today, but it doesn’t stop us from having a good mood to study English at the Cairns College of English! Our host mom, Sonia, woke up early and prepared our lunch boxes. It made us feel so warm in her house.

(From the left) Dickson and I love our lunchboxes!

In the college, we gained a lot of knowledge about Australia. The teachers taught us earnestly. We learned a lot of Australian culture and lifestyle in the lesson. For example, Australia is a really sunny place even in the winter, so when we go outside, we should wear sunscreen, a hat and sunglasses. It is a good way to strengthen our vigilance and get prepared for things before it turns into trouble. Therefore, we can accomplish our tasks safely here.

After the lesson today, we walked to Rusty’s Market where we could buy many kinds of fresh fruits, such as Australian strawberries, bananas and apples.

Moreover, we saw some very special cucumbers, they are huge!! They look so tasty.

The market was different with the ones in Hong Kong. We hope to visit Rusty’s Market again!

Write soon!!

Yours,
Joseph

  1. Dear Joseph
Oh man! I'm so glad to hear that good news. It has been 5 days since you left HK, and all of us, including me, miss you so much man.
Have you ever try to fight with a kangaroo for training your fitness man? I'm afraid you could hurt me after you returning to HK. Yo man, it's just a joke.
'TAKING CARE OF YOURSELF' is the only thing I can to say, and wait for you coming back and having a camp with us in August.
Last but not definitely least, something is almost forgot, have you hand in your money for booking the rooms yet? If not, you might sleep outside the rooms man, I'm so serious. Right, it's a joke again.
Thank you for your letter, cheers!
    yours friend,
    Wilson
